The Tufte Polar Half Zip is our warmest baselayeryet. It’s made of wool mesh, and is fit for expeditions and extreme cold –it’ll keep you warm even when the activity level is low. This high necked longsleeved sweater is naturallytechnical and has two layers of 100% merino wool – a wool mesh inner layer anda wool rib outer layer. The two layers are merged together in panels. The woolmesh provides excellent insulation and warmth by trapping pockets of air insidethe mesh structure. The outer layer help absorb moisture to keep you both warmand dry. For very cold adventures, dress with Tufte Polar next to skin andlayer up with a wind-and waterproof warm outer layer, or a thick down jacketfor great warmth and comfort.Our mulesing freemerino wool has many great qualities; it’s super lightweight, soft, non-clammy,warm in the cold and cool in the heat.
